Former Bafana Bafana and Sundowns soccer star Anele Ngcongca won’t be laid to rest anytime soon.

His cousin Siyasanga Ngcongca announced through social media that Anele’s funeral has been postponed as his mother isn’t well.

“We need to sadly postpone Anele Ngcongca Funeral as uMama isn’t well. She expressed that the funeral cannot continue without her. We made the choice that her health is vital as a family and postponed the funeral.”

The funeral has been postponed to the 10th of December 2020. The service will happen at the Gugulethu Stadium and can be streamed to survive social media.

Siyasanga slammed Minister Nathi Mthethwa for being silent about Anele’s passing despite the good contribution that he’s made to South African football. She revealed that Minister Fikile is that the only Minister who made contact with the family and came to see Anele’s mother.

“This man played for the planet Cup Bafana Bafana with 50 Caps. But there’s silence. @MbalulaFikile is that the only Minister that came to satisfy the family.”

Ngcongca also revealed that the soccer star has been celebrated more in Belgium, where he wont to play his football, than here in South Africa. consistent with her tweet, not even the minister or MEC has reached bent the family.

Siyasanga has slammed Minister Nathi Mthethwa for creating no contact with the family.

Nathi Mthethwa is yet to reply to the claims made against him.

Anele lost his life on November 23, 2020, following a horrific car crash within the early hours of the morning. This came just a couple of days after the passing of his ex Mshoza.
