Babes Wodumo receives warm congratulations with her husband
Controversial couple Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha have decided to form things official.
Yesterday during a radio interview, Shimora popped the large question and a surprised and love-struck Babes said ‘Yes!’
Mandla Maphumulo and Bongekile Simelane got engaged during an interview on Gagasi FM’s drive time show, hosted by DJ Warrants, Nomalanga, and Clarrisa, yesterday, Thursday 29 October.
Mampintsha captured the gorgeous moment and shared it on his Instagram page. He got down on one knee and uttered the words “I want you to form me the happiest man alive. I would like to be a part of your mess. we’ve been dating for quite a while so I might wish to make it official.” A visibly caught off guard Babes said “Really” before agreeing to be his wife.
This momentous proposal comes just a year after they hogged headlines once they opened assault charges against one another. Their relationship has been tainted by many controversies like allegations of physical violence and Mampintsha being a controlling lover.
Hence the lukewarm reception their engagement got from fans who say ‘as long as Babes is happy.’ Other fans couldn’t care less as Babes had told them before to mind their own business and drink some water.
Their sexual love was getting to be documented on a reality series on Moja Love called Impilo: Mampintsha WestInk. The trailer shook many fans who couldn’t wait to indulge in the show and criticize Babes for staying with an abuser. But following the reception, they decided it had been best to halt the airing of the show, hosted by Jub Jub. The second trailer sent chills because the abusive natures of both Babes and Shimora became evident.
Following the cancellation of their highly-anticipated docu-series, Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha have issued out an apology to fans.
The couple was granted a court interdict to halt the airing of their series on Moja Love. Their reality series was getting to let fans into their private lives and have then seen how their relationship went on a downward spiral.
Disappointing their fans and viewers on the rescheduling of the series, Mampintsha issued an apology and explained how they want to raise their image as individuals and as a few.
“We noted with great concern your comments and expressions of disappointment at us. We wish to assure you that your disappointment is of great regret to us, as we only seek to entertain you during the days of disappointment, and not the other,” Mampintsha wrote.
Congratulations to the couple!
