The 24th annual SA Style Awards happened last night and as was common, all the winners of this year’s edition were awarded under strict Covid-19 regulations.
The awards were hosted by Television presenter Ayanda Thabethe, in stunning the Diamond Walk, Sandton, and that they were a star-studded affair, of course, celebrating the best within the South African show business.
Ayanda may be a previous recipient of the awards and it had been befitting for her to host the awards.
“Being a previous recipient of this prestigious award that not only highlights style but one’s career achievements and combined impact has definitely been a highlight in my very own journey and that I couldn’t be more proud to be the host of this year’s #SouthAfricanStyleAwards,” she wrote on Instagram.
Mzansi’s biggest A-listers didn’t disappoint as they looked stunning on the red carpet. Blue Mbombo who has BEEN killing it within the fashion game was named Mzansi’s Most Stylish Model and nobody is more deserving.
Taking to her Instagram account she expressed her excitement on being awarded the foremost Stylish Model, “To be recognized, acknowledged and honored for my work 😭😭. Honestly, I’m short for words…especially within the industry where models aren’t considered a talent. this is often the most important achievement in my career and it goes to all or any the upcoming models.”
The media personality is usually turning heads together with her ensembles whenever she attends any event.
Blue’s career started off when she entered South Africa’s version of America’s Next Top Model ‘Diamond within the Ruff’ which was a stepping stone into her modeling career. Her big break really came when she entered the large Brother house in 2011 and began dating rapper K2. The model has been raising the bar within the world of the limelight and her future looks even brighter.
Mzansi’s rising stars Ama Qamata and Witney Ramabulana were named subsequent Big Things. Ama Qamata is understood for the role of Puleng Khumalo in Netflix’s original series Blood and Water.
The starlet has made a couple of appearances in numerous TV shows including My Perfect Family, Muvhango, and Rythm City. The petite actress currently portrays the role of Buhle in Mzansi Magic’s hit Telenovela Gomora. Witney Ramabulana may be a South African influencer best known for her Tik Tok videos.
Siya and Rachel Kolisi were named the foremost Stylish Couple, the foremost stylish performer in film or TV visited Sindi Dlathu, and Master KG bagged the Most Stylish SA Icon.
