DJ Shimza performs once again at Lockdown House Party

One thing we’ve come to like about the return to stricter lockdown regulations thanks to the second wave of the pandemic is that it marks the return of the breakout television program of 2020; The ‘Lockdown party .” The show marked its third season return this past Friday, and again proved why she is that the girl that she thinks she is.

Firstly, it seems that co-executive producer; Shimza has managed to seek out the right mix between commercial and uplifting. During his recent in-depth interview with popular podcaster and YouTuber, macgyver on “Podcast and Chill with MacG,” Shimza categorically stated that one thing he’s unapologetic about doing on the show is abandoning and coming DJs an opportunity for nationwide recognition. More especially, on the very fact that he shines a light-weight on DJs from his hometown of Tembisa.

But one person who shook the tables within the return debut episode is one half the favored amapiano duo, the Jazzidisciple’s Mr. JazziQ. The acclaimed producer-DJ who is behind the hit single, “Asking,” featuring Moonchild Sanelly and Josiah De Disciple was the MVP of the show if comments are anything to travel by. Moreover, it seems deserved. JazziQ played his entire set with no headphones on- just him, his ear, and knowledge of each song that he played during the set. The feat was so special that even the EFF’s Julius Malema had to offer kudos to JazziQ.

Then there was Sjava. It seems if this year had a topic for the musician, it might be a “redemptive come .” Following his case, that was delivered to the court by Lady Zamar being thrown out, and Sjava’s innocence being vindicated- a minimum of within the eyes of the law. Sjava is slowly making his way back to public perception dominance, and his performance on the “Lockdown House Party” stage affirmed this. Sjava provided a group that uplifted and encourage, which worked to prove that the maximum amount as he could be a man- problematic- he does make music that heals or encourages.

It has been but a fortnight into the New Year, but Sjava has already started paving the year of wins. The musician returned to his acting roots again this year as a part of the cast of the favored Mzansi Magic telenovela, “hostile.” His latest return wasn’t marred with scandal as his last when he made a cameo appearance on SABC 1’s most-watched television, “Uzalo.”
