DJ Zinhle comments back at trolls claiming she bought the SAMA nomination
DJ Zinhle has hit back at those that asked how she was nominated for a South African Music Award (SAMAs ) this year but fellow musician, Master KG wasn’t .
This comes after a Twitter user tagged the award-winning DJ during a tweet during which she asked how it had been possible for Zinhle’s “Umlilo” to be nominated for record of the year while “Jerusalema” by Master KG wasn’t .
The user even went on to mention that if Zinhle won the award, she wouldn’t deserve it.
“How is @DJZinhle nominated for ROTY and master KG isn’t. Even she knows if she wins this, it’s a gift she doesn’t deserve. it had been Jerusalem everywhere in December, even now. This song is big everywhere Africa. Niwathenga ngempela. this is often master kgs award! Period! #SAMA26”, tweeted the user.
Zinhle clapped back saying that she didn’t care if she was nominated or not.
“Learn to fight for your faves without accusing people of belongings you ignoramus about. I actually don’t care if I’m nominated or not. Ngiyithenge kuphi I-Award sisi? If there was how I’d give my nomination to somebody else . These awards don’t define my life. Uyaphapha”, responded Zinhle.

Some people feel Zinhle is deserving of the SAMA nomination and other people are just hating on the sister.
And then some tweeps felt Zinhle should decline the nomination as she doesn’t deserve it.

“Umlilo” by DJ Zinhle which features Mvzzle and Rethabile is additionally nominated for music video of the year.
Prince Kaybee is dominating the 26th SAMAs with four nominations.
