It’s been just over a month since actress and tv presenter Lerato ‘Zah’ Moloi lost her mother Candy Moloi to cancer. Since then, she has decided to shave her head in her late mother’s honor.

Candy, best known for her role as Vho-Makhadzi on the SABC2 soapie “Muvhango”, died during a Pretoria hospital at the age of 67.
Lerato took to Instagram to share the instant of shaving her head, explaining why it had been so important to her.

“It was important on behalf of me to possess my hair shaved off today in honor of my Mama. it had been brain cancer that killed her essentially. In the last six months of her life, she didn’t have hair on her head thanks to chemotherapy which bothered her such a lot. She would often inquire from me if her hair would ever grow back and that I would assure her that it might.

“She never got the prospect to grow her hair back, however, she looked absolutely beautiful throughout her graceful battle with cancer,” Lerato explained.

The actress added that she knew that her resemblance to her mother was even more visible with a shaved head, and thus she planned to stay the design for a short time longer.

“I’m a likeness of my mommy with my hair shaved off, so I feel I’ll keep this search for a touch longer in order that I see my Mama’s beautiful image whenever I check out the mirror.”
