Lerato Zah Moloi has bid farewell to her veteran actress mother Candy Moloi during a beautiful private memorial service.

Trying to stay content whilst grieving the loss of her mother, Lerato spoke about her battle with Cancer which she, unfortunately, succumbed to at the age of 67.

“She fought a sort of a trooper. She tried her best, but in the end she was really uninterested in the fighting. My mother fought throughout her life. What pains me the foremost is she never got that break. She was always fighting through life, working through life. Always doing something for people … She gave and got nothing reciprocally.

I spoke to her with faith that she would fight through this. I assumed she would pull through. I said a prayer together with her. I begged her. I pleaded together with her to not leave because I still need her. I do not want to imagine life without her. I’m due to her. My world doesn’t add up without my mother. I said those words to her,” she said.

The late Candy Moloi’s generosity was the highlight of the memorial service with friends and family singing her praises.

Her ability to assist her community members whilst expecting nothing reciprocally made people search for her.

Having been in and out of rehab and hospital for the past two years made Lerato want to figure hard in order that her mother can rest and luxuriate in her retirement.

“Mama, I release you. farewell,” she ended her speech.
