Pearl Thusi is the main reason for Stonebwoy’s arrest
The show must continue, it’s no secret that MTV’s Behind The Story has become a favorite for several South Africans, the honesty and real emotions that are delivered to light have shown how vulnerable and human our ZAlebs are.
The host with the foremost, Pearl Thusi, has really done well to attach together with her guests on a private and emotional level, which makes the show even more authentic.

Pearl Thusi will host Ghanaian star, Stonebwoy this Saturday on her show. The Ghanaian dancehall sensation’s latest album Anloga Junction was released earlier this year it features our very own Nasty C. the good kid in Africa features on the track Bow Down, which is that the lead single for the South African market and is already being playlisted on several stations across the country.
Stonebwoy was meant to be in Mzansi for a stop as a part of his African tour, however, thanks to COVID-19 was postponed, but because of technology Pearl is going to be ready to video-call him this weekend. Bow Down maybe a song that pushed Stonebwoy creatively, as this is often the primary the artist has worked on such a Hip Hop-inspired beat. The record was recorded in Ghana when Nasty C was within the country in April 2018.
On working with Nasty C, Stonebwoy had this to say;
“I didn’t consider a feature before recording the song I had the first theme which was to possess bits and pieces of all sorts of sounds which will get on the album. So once I created the hip hop afro-beats infused sort of one, Nasty C came to mind because his style actually appeals to me when it involves a sound like that, the song was cooked right in my range in my studio and was a gorgeous experience cooking that song and right from the scratch and in two hours we had the song done.”
Nasty C isn’t the sole South African artist Stonebwoy has worked with, in 2018 he released Wame with Cassper Nyovest. Stonebwoy on his album Anloga Junction, which hit 10 Million Streams in 10 days also features US singer Keri Hilson amongst more.
We look forward to hearing from this Ghanaian sensation, who features a love for our South African artists and country, he will bring his energy and vigor to the show, which can be complemented by Pearl’s frank inquiries to attempt to understand what’s behind the story of his career and private life.
